Caught an amazing shiny!

I was very frustrated the rest of the time. I then decided I wanted to chain fish, since you most of the time finds a shiny. I went to Route 21, where you can find Dratini, so I crossed my fingers on finding one, but really, the chance of even finding a Dratini there is like 1% (seriously!). I had already found a shiny Basculin there. I crossed my fingers for a shiny Poliwhirl instead, telling myself: if its male = Poliwrath, if female = Politoad. But then... okay I let it depend on the nature.

Oh well then. I went on for a few minutes and so... (around chain of 20+ or something) and then... BAM!!!

A shiny appeared! And not only that! IT WAS A FREAKING SHINY DRATINI! I died! *dead*

Omg... a lot of people (shiny hunters especially) doesn't like the chain fishing mechanic. I personally agree that its too easy. And some people would probably say "Oh, but you did it by chain fishing, its nothing special", but I beg the differ. The chance of finding a Dratini on Route 21 is like 1%, most of the time, when you fish you won't even encounter one! I've only encountered like... 5 whenever I've tried to chain fish there! SO! To find a SHINY Dratini... thats like... I dunno what how to even explain it! I am able to encounter shiny Basculin or Poliwhirl at Route 21, those are the most likely to do, so to encounter shiny Dratini, that is just pure luck! So to me, that doesn't count as being "too easy". You cannot even catch a Dratini any other way in the game (you can only catch Dragonairs in Friend Safari and even those are said to be too easy as well, since the shiny rate is lower in Friend Safari). If any other way to get one, it would be through Breeding, but... why do that when you can catch one? XD

Heck, if we hadn't discovered chain fishing, this would just had been a random shiny, you know~
